Every time you visit your local CITGO you help us give back to the communities we serve across the country. Learn how you’re helping make a difference in people’s lives.

CITGO is committed to helping our neighbors impacted by the historic devastation of the recent hurricanes. That’s why for the next three months, every time you fill-up at CITGO, we will donate 1¢ from every gallon of fuel purchased — up to $8 million — toward rebuilding efforts. Thank you for joining us. Together, we’re Fueling Good. Together, we’re Rebuilding Lives. Learn more at CITGO.com.
A pooch loves to play, especially in the company of other furry friends. And that’s exactly why the Big Oak CITGO in Yardley, PA joined forces with the community to fuel some good for Fido! Proceeds from the CITGO station’s Helping Hands Spirit Pump were donated to help build a 3.5-acre dog park in Lower Makefield Township. Can we get a woof woof!
Nobody should go hungry, so PS Food Mart Stores and CITGO took the lead in Michigan for the eighth annual “Fight Hunger, Give Hope” campaign. The fundraiser helps provide more than half a million meals through local foodbanks, pantries, and backpack programs. And this year raised an incredible $88,690 through generous donations from customers at local stores. #FuelingGood, and fighting hunger!
Every time you visit your local CITGO station, you're fueling good and helping to create positive, lasting change in people's lives.
Earlier this month we challenged you to #FuelItForward & improve the day of a stranger. How did it go?! https://t.co/YAjhOLydRI
In 2016, we introduced “Spirit Pumps” as a unique way to foster philanthropy in local communities. At these specially branded pumps, a percentage of the sales is donated directly to a local charity or organization. And at the end of each “Spirit Pump” campaign, CITGO matches the amount raised. In 2016 “Spirit Pumps” helped raise approximately $30,000 across the nation. The Spirit Pump at Triple B Convenience Store in Robertsdale, AL helped raise $2,600 for Elsanor Elementary!
Emily’s Kids Foundation supports families affected by pediatric cancer, and this fall they held their annual Chicken Stew Fundraiser. Mid-State Petroleum and CITGO joined forces to fuel good for Emily's Kids Foundation by helping raise $950 for the effort. There’s nothing quite as heartwarming as some homemade chicken stew and #FuelingGood.
With themed Spirit Pumps, Handy Food CITGO locations in Labelle, Florida fueled student programs at Labelle Elementary and Edward A. Upthegrove Elementary schools. The deserving (and incredibly bright) students are the real winners from this community effort. Talk about #FuelingGood.
With CITGO on First, the Red Sox on Second and the Red Sox Foundation on Third, communities in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine hit a grand slam for #FuelingGood. Purchases made at Red Sox-branded Spirit Pumps throughout the region went to the Red Sox Foundation. Gena Borson, Executive Director of the Red Sox Foundation, loves that the pumps encourage “local residents to get involved and share the responsibility for improving our communities."
Frawley Oil knows about #FuelingGood. For over 19 years the business has supported Tomorrow’s Hope, a charity that does everything it can to support those in its community with life-limiting illnesses. For last year’s 19th annual Hope Fest, Frawley Oil donated CITGO Gift Cards. Barb Endl, the Executive Director of Tomorrow’s Hope, said, “Not only is CITGO helping us to thank our many supporters, but they are also opening doors for more neighbors to help neighbors.”
The Yogi’s Food Company CITGO in Alabama hit a homerun for the Russellville Girls High School Softball Team. The Russellville station sold more than 100,000 gallons of gas from their CITGO Spirit Pump this past spring so they, along with distributor Vulcan Oil, could present a $2,000 check to the team. Batter up!
The Flash Markets CITGO was Fueling Good on the road by providing the Muscular Dystrophy Association with CITGO Gift Cards. Which helped parents and children travel to MDA Summer Camp at the Center for Courageous Kids in Scottsville, KY. Nicole Petrouski, Senior Family Services and Clinic Coordinator of MDA, said, “Some of our families don’t have the means to make it to camp and these gas cards made it possible for our campers to attend yet another great year of camp!”
#FuelingGood went full circle in Georgetown, Delaware when the Mid-Atlantic Shockers Baseball Club visited the local CATO Gas & Oil station that sponsors the team. The kids, decked out in their team gear, greeted and surprised customers with free swag and CITGO gift cards. A big thank you to both the team and CATO Gas & Oil for knocking it out of the park!
For more than 30 years, CITGO and neighborhood CITGO stations have been raising money to help MDA families in need. One way we help is by raising much-needed funds through the annual Shamrocks program around St. Patrick’s Day. At Wheels Convenience Stores, customers could purchase paper shamrocks as a donation to MDA, and all the monies raised improves the lives of families living with muscular dystrophy. Now that’s what we call #FuelingGood.
Fuel isn’t the only thing the CITGO Milwaukee Terminal has plenty of. They have a huge supply of #FuelingGood too. The giving people of the Milwaukee Terminal donated $1,500 to the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Wisconsin!
